Covering nearly 30 hectares in Long Duc Commune in Long Thanh District, the resettlement area is expected to provide a better residential neighbourhood for people affected by the expressway project.

Once completed, the Long Duc resettlement area can accommodate nearly 3,400 people, equivalent to about 843 households.

The first phase of the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau project has a total length of nearly 54 kilometres, of which 34 kilometres are in Dong Nai Province, which has to acquire 400 hectares of land in Bien Hoa City and Long Thanh District.

The number of households that need to be resettled is 2,000, of which 1,400 are located in Long Thanh District.

The authorities of Bien Hoa City are also finalising the procedures to build two resettlement areas in Tam Phuoc and Phuoc Tan Wards.
