Agricultural Extension Forum seeks solutions to develop biosafety livestock

The National Agricultural Extension Centre in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the northern province of Ha Nam organised a forum on seeking solutions to develop biosafety livestock to create food-safe products for sustainable livestock development.

At the forum, participants focused on evaluating, discussing and exchanging the current situation in applying biosecurity methods in livestock farming; at the same time, raising solutions to develop biosafety livestock to create food-safe products to build safe and sustainable livestock farming; research and transfer biosafety livestock technology to contribute to sustainable livestock development.

Speaking at the forum, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ha Nam Province, Truong Quoc Hung, affirmed that developing livestock production according to biosecurity is one of the general policies and directions of the State on livestock farming towards increasing added value and sustainable development.

The forum was expected to help localities, farmers, and farm owners grasp guidelines, policies and scientific and technological solutions in developing agricultural production towards biosafety; at the same time, develop a plan to build biosafety livestock to reduce input costs, ensure the environment, create safe products, and improve economic efficiency.
