An Giang praised for strictly combating corruption

The Mekong Delta province of An Giang was lauded for strictly implementing directions on the prevention and fight against corruption, with many corruption cases and related officials handled.

On July 6, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan made the remarks at a meeting with local voters in Long Xuyen City and Tan Chau Town, in An Giang Province.

The voters gave their opinions on various issues, such as local security and order, juvenile delinquency, misinformation on social networks, labour reduction at factories and industrial parks, slow progress at several construction projects, and others.

Several issues attracted more attention from voters, including corruption, a vote of confidence, landslides at some dykes in Tan Chau Town, and the construction of the Tan Chau-Hong Ngu Bridge across the Tien River.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan congratulated the positive socio-economic results of An Giang province, Long Xuyen City and Tan Chau Town during the past time, particularly the ensured border security.

Regarding labour reduction, the Vice President said that this is a common difficulty but also an opportunity for the province to restructure its skilled labour force.

She also assured voters that the provincial police are making every effort to suppress young criminals.

She clarified other questions and asked related agencies in the locality to answer and deal with issues of concern, within their competence.
