According to the article, with an ardent desire for national independence and freedom, the President travelled across the five continents, working and studying marked revolutions in the world.

The author called President Ho Chi Minh the soul of Vietnam's revolution and struggle for independence, stressing he led the Vietnamese people to the victory of the August Revolution in 1945, the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954, and the liberation of the South and national reunification in April 1975.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary has hosted a flower-offering ceremony at the monument dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh in Zalaegerszeg city to mark his birthday and the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

In her remarks, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao expressed her gratitude to the late leader, and emphasised the historical significance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory as well as the signing of the Geneva Accords 70 years ago, which put an end to the resistance war against the French, serving as a source of encouragement for liberation movements around the world.

Vadvari Tibor, Deputy Mayor of Zalaegerszeg, said the city plans to upgrade the monument, turning it into a venue for Vietnamese and Hungarians. He also hoped that the relationship between the two countries in general and Vietnam and Zalaegerszeg city in particular will continue to be expanded across spheres.
