The event will feature the participation of more than 200 artists, including orchestras and choirs.

Audiences will be entertained with a vibrant performance of Hoang Van’s most iconic songs—works that have resonated deeply with generations of Vietnamese listeners—alongside his instrumental compositions, symphonies, children’s choral pieces, and music written for soloists and full orchestra.

Hoang Van (1930–2018) is widely recognised as a foundational figure in modern Vietnamese music. Between 1951 and 2010, he composed over 700 works, distinguished by their breadth of form, genre, and musical expression. His body of work reflects an intimate engagement with Viet Nam’s cultural and social history, especially the experiences of women and marginalised communities.

In 2000, he was honoured with the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and the Arts, the highest distinction of its kind in Viet Nam.

His collection was inscribed into UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register in April this year, making it the 11th documentary heritage from Viet Nam to receive this international recognition. The collection’s rich diversity in genres and forms, along with its profound content, meets several key UNESCO criteria, especially its historical significance and global value.
