Themed ‘Our wall is your canvas’, the project invites Vietnamese artists to transform the exterior wall of the German Embassy in Hanoi into an open-air outdoor mural exhibition.
The artworks should exemplify diverse perspectives and views on the multifaceted dimension of the relation between Germany and Vietnam. The project aims to foster cultural exchange and showcase the vibrant artistic talent of young Vietnamese artists.
Interested artists are encouraged to submit a short personal introduction, a rough sketch of their proposed artwork, and a list of required art materials for its production on the canvas.
The artistic concept should creatively depict key aspects of the Vietnamese-German relationship, with themes focussing on the future of the Vietnamese-German partnership, the artists’ understanding of Germany, cultural convergences and differences, and the history between Vietnam and Germany.

The winning artists will gather at the embassy on April 11 to finalise their artwork on site.
Following the live event, all artworks will be exhibited for three months along the outer wall of the German embassy and showcased on the anniversary website, where they will be made available for purchase.
