On August 25, VietNamNet Newspaper held a press meeting in Ha Noi to announce the National Concert “Dieu Con Mai” 2025, which will take place at the Ho Guom Opera House. This annual art event has been organised by VietNamNet every National Day since 2009.

Speaking at the press meeting, Y Thong, Deputy Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, emphasised that the concert is an important cultural and artistic rendezvous, leaving many imprints and exerting strong resonance in society.

Journalist Nguyen Van Ba, Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet and head of the event’s organising committee, stated that those behind “Dieu Con Mai” always set the goal of preserving the core value of the programme — a platform to honour famous Vietnamese musical works, performed by artists with passion and responsibility. Many artists take part not merely to perform, but to serve, dedicating music to the public on this great occasion of the nation.

This is the first year VietNamNet has been placed under the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, so the programme has skilfully incorporated ethnic elements, with many songs.

The vocal and instrumental performances have been carefully selected and arranged by Music Director Tran Manh Hung and VietNamNet, with the participation of the Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO) under the baton of French conductor Olivier Ochanine.

“This year, we chose to tell stories through a musical language that is elegant and gentle, while still encompassing the great milestones of history. The epic Song Lo will be staged in the style of a concerto for piano and orchestra, performed by young talent Luong Khanh Nhi. Meanwhile, Huong Ve Ha Noi (Towards Ha Noi) will be interpreted on the cello by a young artist studying in the US, offering a fresh perspective on the capital.

We want the audience not only to listen to familiar songs again, but also to feel the depth of history, the sparkle of emotion and the national spirit through music. Familiar songs about Ha Noi and the Fatherland will be refreshed with the participation of leading artists such as Hong Nhung, Tung Duong,” said musician Tran Manh Hung.
