The heroic and profound melodies of the National Concert ‘Dieu Con Mai’ (Remaining with Time) resounded from the Hanoi Opera House, reviving heroic historical memories, and arousing patriotism, national pride and aspirations, on the afternoon of September 2.

The programme was organised by VietNamNet Newspaper, under the direction of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The event was attended by Tong Thi Phong, former Politburo member and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA); Nguyen Manh Hung, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Minister of Information and Communications, Deputy Head of PCC's Commission for Communication and Education; and representatives of leaders of relevant ministries, departments and branches.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, journalist Nguyen Van Ba, Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet Newspaper, said that 2024 marks many major anniversaries of the country, such as the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation, and the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army.

"These illustrious milestones in history have inspired the program creators to tell a story through music, with revolutionary songs that bear the marks of a glorious and victorious era of our nation, to appreciate the value of independence, and to express gratitude to the generations before us—those who will live on in our hearts forever.", he said.
