Binh Duong opens spring flower festival and Tet activities

The southern province of Binh Duong held an ceremony on January 20 to kick off the spring flower festival along with a wide range of other activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Tet).

With the participation of more than 100 artists from Binh Duong and other provinces, the spring flower festival is showcasing 640 works of ornamental trees and flower arrangement.

Next to the flower festival is the flower street, with seven installations about Binh Duong Province and some countries such as the Republic of Korea, Japan and Singapore reflecting the province’s dynamism and international integration.

Furthermore, the spring newspaper festival is displaying 350 Tet newspaper editions from 63 provinces and cities throughout Vietnam to introduce to visitors the country’s achievements in all fields in the past year.

In addition to showcasing spring newspapers, magazines and books, the festival also features a book and tea space, calligraphy booths, and folk games.

On the occasion, an exhibition was held to showcase the outstanding achievements recorded by the Binh Duong people and government since its re-establishment 26 years ago.

The spring flower festival and other activities to celebrate Tet will take place until January 26, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year.
