The event is expected to feature 100 booths with diverse activities such as a fruit fair; a food-tourism festival; the display of fruits in artistic shapes, along with specialty fruits and processed fruit products; and an exhibition of seedlings, ceramics, lacquerware products, and typical dishes and drinks of Binh Duong and other localities in the Eastern and Southwest region.
A series of sideline activities will also take place during the festival, including the “Charming Binh Duong” beauty contest to vote for graceful and talented women of Binh Duong Province, a footrace along ripe fruit gardens, a photo contest, a festival of Don ca tai tu (a typical form of folk singing of the Southern region), and others.
The annual festival, also known as “Lai Thieu in ripe fruit season festival”, has become familiar to local people, providing an opportunity for farmers and businesses to exchange experience and boost the consumption of fruits.
The event is also expected to foster trade and tourism in Binh Duong as well as other provinces and cities in the Southern region.
