The festival will take place until June 23 with many activities, including a week promoting fruit and OCOP products of Dong Nai Province with the showcase of 80 booths run by cooperatives, enterprises, and business households in the province.
During the nine-day festival, typical agricultural products of the locality will be displayed in addition to holding a seminar on boosting community tourism aligned with building Long Khanh OCOP products, a ceremony for durian exports to China, and a showcase of culinary arts from local fruits and agricultural products, among others.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Son Hung emphasised that Long Khanh Fruit Festival and events promoting local OCOP products have an important meaning in honouring typical gardeners and enterprises and promoting high-quality fruits and local OCOP products.
The event is also a venue to gather scientists, enterprises, and farmers to exchange ideas and seek business opportunities to foster agro-ecological tourism development.
Dong Nai Province has over 76,000ha of fruits, including more than 300 concentrated production areas with many specialty fruits, such as rambutan, durian, and mango. Long Khanh City has long been known for its delicious and famous fruits of the Southeast region.
