Brigade 162, Region 4 of the Navy: Vibrant springtime, steadfast new spirit

As part of the series of activities celebrating the Lunar New Year, on the morning of February 15, at Cam Ranh Naval Port, Khanh Hoa province, Brigade 162, Region 4 of the Navy, organised a competition for decorating rooms for the Spring Festival, creating wall posters, and writing New Year couplets to welcome the Year of the Horse 2026.

Colonel Mai Van Doanh, Political Commissar of the Brigade, and Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Vuong, Brigade Commander, attended and directed the competition.

Seven teams from the subordinate naval squadrons and combat ships participated in this competition. Each team selected three members to present their ideas for decorating their room for the Spring Festival and writing couplets to the judging panel in Vietnamese, English, and Russian.

According to the judging panel’s assessment, the units proactively prepared well, fostered the creativity of officers and soldiers, invested considerable effort in ideas, layout, and messaging, and decorated their spring welcoming rooms in a solemn, warm, and traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) style, reflecting the unique characteristics of their respective units.

The organising committee will compile the scores from the judging panel members to select the first, second, and third prizes at the flag-raising ceremony on the morning of the first day of Tet.
