Building ecosystem to support small and micro enterprises

The Agency for Private Enterprise and Cooperative Economic Development (APED) under the Ministry of Finance organised the forum entitled “Building a sustainable ecosystem to support and develop the private economy in 2026,” on June 6, aimed at helping private enterprises gain access to government policies on finance, technology application and transfer, innovation, and scientific and technological development.

In line with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation, and Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private-sector economic development, the forum was organised with the objective of establishing and developing a network of organisations supporting the private sector, including enterprises, household businesses, and collective economic entities.

The forum seeks to promote the implementation of support policies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), household businesses, and the collective economy in accordance with the Party’s and State’s orientations and guidelines.

Nguyen Xuan Tho, Deputy Director-General of the APED under the Ministry of Finance, said that forums of this kind enable businesses to engage directly with experts and access specific support packages relating to finance, science and technology, management, intellectual property, and digital transformation.

“These commitments mark an important step forward in coordinated action, the development of a professional advisory network, and efforts to help businesses gain access to policies, financial resources, scientific and technological applications, innovation, and sustainable development opportunities,” he said.

The organisation of the forum forms part of broader efforts to strengthen links among government agencies, support organisations, research institutes, science and technology enterprises, and the business community. It also provides a platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation among government bodies, research institutes, universities, business support organisations, and enterprises in building and developing a sustainable business-support ecosystem linked to the promotion of science, technology, and innovation.

In addition, the forum featured an exhibition space showcasing outstanding products and services from participating enterprises. The initiative was designed to foster value-chain linkages and connect businesses with the broader support ecosystem through a network of consultants providing direct advisory services.

Businesses benefit from the guidance and support of advisory organisations in their production and business activities. Experts provided consultations during the event, while enterprises expressing interest will receive on-site assessments from participating organisations that signed cooperation agreements.

These organisations will also support pilot projects involving in-depth advisory services, including science and technology application packages, the adoption of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, and access to sustainable financing sources.
