The festival was reproduced in Ta Hine Commune, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong Province, within the framework of the Lam Dong Province Tourism Week, which is taking place from April 27 to May 3 across 12 districts in the province.
The festival is observed every 10 to 12 years, and it lasts one day and one night. The festival offerings include one buffalo, two roosters, five hands of bananas, two bottles of wine, two boiled chicken eggs, two raw chicken eggs, one bowl of rice, one plate of betel nut, one bowl of charcoal, and a bamboo pole to tie the buffalo.
During the festival, villagers play gongs and trumpets, and join Arya folk dances. They then join a party after the offering ceremony concludes.
The Pot Bodaiborhau festival aims to pay gratitude to Yang, the god who the Chu Ru people believe helps them enjoy bumper crops and a prosperous life.
