In the message, the CPV Central Committee congratulated the CPC on its achievements over the past 105 years in uniting and leading the Chinese people to overcome numerous difficulties and challenges, securing historic victories, founding the People's Republic of China, implementing the reform and opening-up policy, and advancing the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era. The message also highlighted the continuously enhanced international standing and influence of the CPC and the Chinese State.
It also noted that, in recent years, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping as its core, the Chinese people have successfully achieved the first centenary goal, fulfilled the major targets and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development, and laid a solid foundation for achieving the second centenary goal.
The CPV expressed confidence that the CPC will continue to lead the Chinese people in successfully implementing the Resolution of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, preparing for a successful 21st Congress, and achieving the second centenary goal of building China into a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, civilised, harmonious and beautiful.
The message reaffirmed that the Party, State and people of Viet Nam consistently attach great importance and give top priority to consolidating and strengthening the neighbourhood, the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and the Viet Nam–China community with a shared future of strategic significance.
It also expressed Viet Nam's wish to maintain regular high-level exchanges between the leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, provide strategic guidance for the continued development of bilateral relations, deliver tangible benefits to the peoples of both nations, make contributions to the socialist cause, the peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
