Container shipping service launched at Vung Ang Port

The service is jointly operated by the Viet-Lao Vung Ang Port Company and the Tan Cang Shipping Company.

The container shipping route is expected to help enterprises in Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and neighbouring Laos to save on transport and logistics costs, and promote export-import and economic activities in the region.

To launch the route, the Viet-Lao Vung Ang Port Company invested in a new system of cranes and collaborated with other companies to train manpower, build the optimal shipping options and offer the most competitive price, among others.

The launch has contributed to implementing a project to develop logistics services in Ha Tinh province until 2030 and turn Vung Ang Port into a logistics centre.

Right after the launch ceremony, Vung Ang Port welcomed Tan Cang Glory, which came in to load 302 containers from the Ky Anh Wheat Flour Company bound for Hai Phong to be shipped abroad.
