The concert, which was co-organised by the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam and an art performance centre of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, featured performances by Israeli folk dancing troupe Hora Shemesh and the only bamboo ensemble in Vietnam Suc Song Moi (New Vitality).
The event was a unique music night, honouring the cultural and artistic values of the two Vietnamese and Israeli peoples.
Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eshcar expressed his pleasure as the programme received great attention and response from the Vietnamese audience. He affirmed that cultural and art exchange activities contributed to promoting the bilateral relations and mutual understanding between the two nations while bringing the images of a beautiful Israel closer to Vietnamese people.
Twenty artists of the Hora Shemesh troupe entertained the audience with their energetic traditional dance repertoire, which featured diverse themes from folk to contemporary art, providing Vietnamese audience with a lively perspective on Israeli life and culture.
Meanwhile the Vietnamese Suc Song Moi bamboo ensemble, under the command of conductor Dong Quang Vinh, performed melodies of the Central Highlands region, songs by musician Trinh Cong Son and classical music with traditional musical instruments.
Six members of the Suc Song Moi are young students and lecturers from the Vietnam National Academy of Music who play traditional Vietnamese instruments such as T’rưng, Ching’ram, Dinh Pa, and bamboo flute.
