VRCS Chairwoman Do Thi Thu Thao noted that the contribution is not only timely material assistance for the people of central Viet Nam but also a profound symbol of solidarity, friendship, and international humanitarian spirit between the people of the two countries. the VRCS pledged to allocate the funds properly, to the right beneficiaries and in a timely manner to help flood-affected communities restore their livelihoods.

Thao also expressed her hope that the Czech Senate will continue to support stronger cooperation between the VRCS and the Czech Red Cross, aiming to establish a twinning relationship. This will provide an important foundation for joint activities, including study visits, sharing effective disaster response models, health care, blood donation, volunteer development, and coordination on bilateral humanitarian programmes and initiatives under the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

Vystrcil emphasised that while the aid amount may not be large, its significance lies not only in material value but also in the spirit of solidarity and the commitment to overcoming challenges together. He added that the support reflects the strong cooperation between the two countries and sends an inspiring message to the international community: through cooperation, we become stronger.
