Speaking at the premiere, Dr Ngo Phuong Lan, Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Association for the Promotion and Development of Cinema, stated that Love in Viet Nam is the 11th film to have premiered at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival, demonstrating the credibility and growth of the festival.
The film is considered a “crystallisation” of the deep affection between the peoples of Viet Nam and India, having overcome many challenges and obstacles.
The production received strong support from diplomatic agencies and local authorities in various parts of Viet Nam, through the provision of infrastructure, administrative procedures, and film industry personnel.
This is also the result of implementing the production attraction index (PAI), developed by the Viet Nam Association for the Promotion and Development of Cinema since 2023.
Love in Viet Nam is directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi (India) and produced by Captain Rahul Bali. It tells a romantic love story while showcasing the natural beauty, culture, and people of Viet Nam through a modern and youthful lens.
The cast includes well-known actors from both countries, such as Kha Ngan (Viet Nam), Avneet Kaur, and Shantanu Maheshwari (India).

The film was shot in several renowned locations across Viet Nam, including Da Lat, Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Yen, Nha Trang, and Ha Long, with Da Lat as the primary setting. In addition, coastal scenes in central Viet Nam and the majestic landscapes of Ha Long created a vibrant and colourful cinematic picture.
Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Hoi An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, shared: “Love in Viet Nam, with the message ‘Bringing Vietnamese stories to the world’, is a cinematic work that not only reflects the spirit of love and Vietnamese culture but also symbolises the wonderful fusion of Vietnamese and Indian cinema.”
“We believe that Love in Viet Nam not only acts as a bridge connecting the hearts of the two nations but also provides an opportunity to introduce the image of Viet Nam and its people, including Da Nang, to international friends across the globe.”
