The exhibition showcases nearly 350 photographs and documents, along with 20 extracts and statistical charts collected from various reputable sources, including the Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan Newspaper, the city’s official web portal, Hai Phong City Press and Media Centre, Hai Phong City Culture, Cinema and Exhibition Centre, and the Hai Phong Photography Club.
The selected photographs and materials vividly reflect the proud 70-year journey of the Party Committee, government, and people of the port city in the cause of national construction and defence.

Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong City, stated that through this exhibition, the organisers hope to widely disseminate the profound historical significance of Hai Phong Liberation Day, May 13, 1955, to all segments of the population. The exhibition also aims to promote revolutionary tradition and strengthen public trust in the Party.

This occasion also serves to encourage patriotic emulation movements, foster consensus and unity within the Party Committee, armed forces, and people of the city, and reaffirm the determination to successfully implement major Resolutions of the Party, such as the 13th National Party Congress Resolution, the 16th Hai Phong Party Congress Resolution, Politburo Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW on Hai Phong’s development to 2030 with a vision to 2045, and the resolutions of all levels of the Party Congress.
