On display at the exhibition are nearly 100 photos taken by six photographers, who are members of the Hai Phong Press Photo Club, during their field trips to the country’s seas and islands in May.
The photos vividly capture the lives of island safeguards, naval officers, and soldiers who have been working to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country’s sea and islands.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, photographer Pham Trung Duc said that the journey to Truong Sa Archipelago is a great honour for every photographer and it left unforgettable impressions on him.
He stressed that the trip fuelled more patriotism and the love for the country’s seas and islands in his heart, motivating him to capture the lives of islanders, officers and soldiers who are working days and nights to firmly protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland’s sea and islands.
