The exhibition introduces 54 display frames with more than 140 documents and images on the history of establishing Vietnamese sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Archipelago, fighting activities to protect Vietnam’s sovereignty over its sea and islands in the current period, and youths with the nation’s sea and islands.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Director of Hoang Sa Gallery Le Tien Cong said that the exhibition is a meaningful activity contributing to disseminating information about the sea and islands while expressing theaspirations of youths for the protection of the national sea and islands.
The exhibition also features images on fishermen’s activities on fish catching, search and rescue activities of soldiers of the High Command of Naval Region 3 and activities of the youth toward seas and islands.
The Director of the Hoang Sa Gallery emphasised that Vietnam has been implementing many policies to solidifyits maritime strategy with the goal of turning Vietnam into a rich country fromsustainable development and prosperityon the sea.
Many strategic solutions are needed to achieve the above goal, requiring the obligation and role of the young generation in the cause of national construction and defence, he noted.
The exhibition will run until January 12, 2023.
