Khe Tien Waterfall is located in Khe Tien Village, Dong Van Commune, Binh Lieu District. The waterfall originates from the Quang Nam Chau watershed forest, which is covered with clouds all year round.
Tourists see the waterfall as an ideal place to hide away the heat in summer and a charming destination to experience in autumn. It attracts visitors thanks to the beautiful, pristine landscape and simple life of people in the mountainous area.
Located 30km from Hoanh Mo Town, it will take visitors about one hour to travel from the town to Khe Tien Village, passing by idyllic villages, terraced rice fields, cinnamon forests, and Dao ethnic women dressed in their traditional colourful costumes washing their clothes by the streams.
The deeper tourists head to the forest, the more attractive Khe Tien becomes. Tourists can admire the villages nestled in the middle of the green valley, surrounded by cloud-covered peaks.
Upon arriving at the waterfall, tourists have to park their vehicles and walk for about 5-10 minutes through the towering bamboo forest, which creates a breath-taking scene for the natural landscape.
In the middle of hot summer days, the atmosphere will become cooler under the old bamboo trees. From here, travellers can clearly hear the sound of the waterfall falling, inviting them to explore.
After passing through the trail, the 20m-high waterfall is located in front of tourists’ eyes.
