The information was revealed by the Department of Livestock Production and Veterinary Services under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment at a press conference held in Ha Noi on September 12.
With the theme “Promoting Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation for Sustainable Livestock Development”, VIETSTOCK 2025 is expected to attract more than 13,000 visitors, with over 300 exhibitors from 40 countries and territories.
Covering an exhibition area of about 13,000m², the event will offer a comprehensive and diverse experience of the livestock sector, including processed products, services and the latest technologies across fields such as technological equipment and technical solutions, animal nutrition and breeding, and market connectivity for livestock products.
A dedicated Viet Nam pavilion will be arranged for domestic enterprises with the support of the Department of Livestock Production and Veterinary Services.
According to Nguyen Phuong Thao, Senior Project Manager of Informa Markets Group, during the three-day event, VIETSTOCK will host about 70 conferences, technical seminars and specialised forums, providing in-depth knowledge and updates on the latest technological trends in the livestock industry.
At the same time, many sessions will focus on critical issues currently facing the industry, such as antimicrobial resistance, pig farming, waste-to-energy conversion and environmental control.
A representative of the Department of Livestock Production and Veterinary Services stated that the Department will lead three sessions, including plenary sessions on the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation for sustainable livestock development. Two specialised sessions will address sustainable livestock development in line with the three-tier government model, and strengthening research capacity and management of vaccines and veterinary medicines in the new context.
Currently, Viet Nam’s livestock sector is facing antimicrobial resistance, mainly due to farmers’ overuse and improper use of antibiotics.
Therefore, the Antimicrobial Resistance Forum will, for the first time, be organised at VIETSTOCK to provide practical knowledge and strategic implementation measures adapted to the current situation for Viet Nam’s regulators and livestock farmers.
