General Phan Van Giang works with Son La Provincial Party Committee

The Son La Provincial Party Committee reported to the Minister of National Defence on the results of implementing the tasks of socio-economic development, strengthening national defence and security, building the Party and consolidating the political system.

The Son La Provincial Party Committee has prioritised resources to build the province into a centre for high-tech agricultural development in the Northwest region, as well as a centre for agricultural processing, milk, fruits, medicinal plants and tourism in the region.

The province has actively implemented key transport projects in the area and maintained good economic growth, in addition to attaching importance to the building of the Party and the political system.

The preparations for the organisation of the second Vietnam-Laos border defence friendship exchange have been made thoroughly by Son La Province in coordination with the Ministry of National Defence.

At the meeting, Hoang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, discussed the results, limitations and difficulties of Son La Province and made recommendations to the Minister of National Defence.

General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the Party Committee, authorities, army and people of all ethnic groups in Son La Province for overcoming difficulties to achieve many important achievements.

He requested the Son La Provincial Party Committee to pay special attention to the work of building the Party and to focus on remote, isolated, and border areas to complete socio-economic development criteria aligned with strengthening national defence and security.
