A delegation of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association led by Chairman Le Quoc Minh visited and presented gifts to members of the Nghe An Provincial Nursing Centre for Wounded Soldiers on July 18.

Speaking at the event, Minh, who is also member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, and Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, expressed his deep gratitude for the services of wounded soldiers and national contributors who fought for the nation’s independence and freedom.

He voiced his hope that the wounded soldiers and national contributors continue to uphold the national revolutionary tradition and serve as shining examples for their descendants to follow.

At the event, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association coordinated with donors to present 57 gifts to members of the nursing centre, and delivered 15 scholarships to poor students in Nghe An Province.

The Vietnam Journalists’ Association also announced funding for the upgrade of the canteen as well as the lighting and sound system at the hall of the nursing centre.

Located in Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, the Nghe An Provincial Nursing Centre for Wounded Soldiers is currently providing care for 57 revolutionary contributors and their relatives.
