Ha Giang builds new tourism products associated with culinary quintessence

Within the framework of the Khen Mong Festival and the cultural and culinary festival of the North - Central - South in 2023, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, held a seminar on building new tourism products, associated with the experience of culinary quintessence in Ha Giang on April 23.

Ha Giang has many advantages in tourism development, rich in potential and cultural resources, in which local cuisine is a strength that needs to be promoted.

The diversity of national culture and the endowment of natural products have made Ha Giang people create a treasure of rich and attractive culinary culture, of which many dishes have been recognized by the Vietnam Records Organisation.

Delegates to the seminar agreed that Ha Giang should promote local cuisine in the media, enhance quality and food hygiene and safety, bringing typical and healthy dishes to the system of accommodation establishments to serve tourists, thereby spreading the brand of Ha Giang cuisine to domestic and foreign tourists.

Also at the seminar, representatives of leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee, and the Ha Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, performed a ceremony to launch a tourism product on exploring the Dong Van stone plateau, which was admitted to the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
