The “Ha Noi Five Gates” will be the first dedicated tourist train to operate in Ha Noi. It is designed with 10 carriages, including 5 passenger carriages themed after the five historic gates of Thang Long – Ha Noi: O Quan Chuong, O Cau Den, O Dong Mac, O Cau Giay, and O Cho Dua.

The train’s interior combines a touch of classic elegance with modern style, featuring large panoramic windows that allow passengers to admire the scenery of the capital from a distinctive perspective.

The carriage design aims to meet the needs for transportation in combination with relaxation, cultural experiences, and photography, catering to the tastes of both locals and visitors.

The tourist train will officially commence operation on August 19, coinciding with the period when Ha Noi is expected to welcome a large number of domestic and international tourists.

In the initial phase, seven carriages will operate three daily round trips departing from Ha Noi Station, passing through Long Bien, Gia Lam, Yen Vien, Tu Son (Bac Ninh), and returning to the starting point. The fixed departure time are 8:00, 14:00, and a special evening service at 20:00. Future upgrades will add a dining carriage and a café carriage, moving towards a complete closed-loop tourism ecosystem on rails.

Unlike conventional transport, the train is envisioned as a “mobile cultural space” where passengers can enjoy live music, mini exhibitions, interactive talks, and experience memories of Ha Noi through a modern approach.

The project is a collaboration between the Vietnam Railways Corporation and BHL Tourism Investment Company (Ha Noi). At present, BHL is finalising the last stages before the train officially enters operation and is put into service in the coming days.
