Speaking at the meeting, Politburo member Dinh Tien Dung emphasised that in the context of the complicated and prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the Party Committee, government, army and people of Hanoi have still implemented solutions to control the epidemic, recover and develop the economy, as well as ensure growth and maintain major balances in Hanoi.
Hanoi’s overall achievements have great contributions made by the city’s armed forces, including officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Capital High Command, he noted.
The Party official also expressed his belief that officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Capital High Command will continue to promote their glorious tradition, exert more efforts to realise resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly, the Government, the Ministry of National Defence and Hanoi; actively taking measures to fulfil assigned tasks in all aspects; maintaining security and social order in the capital; strengthening national defence based on people; and protecting a peaceful life for local residents, contributing to the country’s accomplishments.
Major General Nguyen Xuan Yem, Deputy Political Commissar of the Hanoi Capital High Command affirmed that the High Command has proactively advised local authorities on the implementation of missions on national defence and local military, maintained combat readiness, and kept a firm grasp of the local situation while working closely with other forces to ensure security for important political events, local and national anniversaries, and to protect national security, social order and safety.
