The exhibition features 38 visual works created by 22 artists on different materials, including silk, lacquer, “do” paper and oil paint, as well as 29 Hang Trong folk paintings on “do” paper. The paintings reflect the unique features of the cultural and religious life of Vietnamese people.
Hang Trong folk painting is one of the unique folk painting forms that highlight the cultural value and the delicate aesthetic “taste” of Hanoians.
The technique of making Hang Trong paintings requires meticulousness, ingenuity, elaborateness, and artfulness.
The exhibition aims to promote the beauty of this unique painting form to people who love traditional arts, especially young people and international visitors.
The event is also a chance to introduce artworks that were created from the process of discovery and creation, based on the artistic values of Hang Trong painting heritage in particular and the traditional culture of the country in general.
The exhibition will run until July 31.
