Specifically, the suspension will begin on February 9 (the final day of the 12th lunar month), and the zone will reopen on February 23 (the 14th day of the first lunar month).

Hoan Kiem District Chairman Pham Tuan Long has asked the relevant agencies to implement their assigned tasks well to ensure public security, traffic safety, fire safety and the environment for residents and visitors.

The pedestrian space around Hoan Kiem Lake is a popular tourist attraction, especially during weekends when the streets are closed to motor vehicles.

It is expected to welcome a large number of visitors during the Lunar New Year despite the suspension of closure to vehicular traffic.
