An unexpected joy among the parade crowds

Nguyen Thi Vi Hue, born in 1990, living in Ha Noi, emotionally recalled the moment she received the supplement while waiting along the parade route: “Not long ago, Nhan Dan Newspaper published a special supplement celebrating the Dien Bien Phu Victory, and I regretted not being able to get one. Le Viet Hoa, one of the members representing Moc Chau Company in Mission A80, also shared his pride: “Today I am distributing free milk to people along Phan Dinh Phung Street. When I received the Nhan Dan supplement, seeing the image of President Ho Chi Minh on the cover and experiencing the QR technology, I was truly moved. Scanning the code to hear the sound or using augmented reality to listen to Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence, that was a sacred and unforgettable experience.”

Luong Dac Chi, a student at Ha Noi University of Industry, wanted to share his joy and express gratitude to his teacher: “When holding the supplement in my hands, I immediately thought of my homeroom teacher, who had accompanied us in training for A80. I hope to get another copy to give her as a meaningful gift.”

I received one on her behalf, believing it will be a valuable resource to inspire national pride among her pupils.”

Spreading values from a special publication

Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Chemical Technology at Ha Noi University of Industry, affirmed: “The publication represents a new step in comprehensive digital transformation, helping readers access content conveniently while conveying profound messages of responsibility, love, and dedication. This is also what we want to bring into teaching so students can clearly see the connection between ideals and reality.”

Coming from Hai Phong, Huong did not mind the difficulties, waking up at 5 a.m. and braving the rain to attend the ceremony in Ha Noi. She said emotionally: “An 80th anniversary comes only once. Perhaps my health will not allow me to witness another. But today, holding the Nhan Dan supplement in my hands, the joy and pride are indescribable. I will share this publication with colleagues and students to spread patriotism and national pride.”

She added that earlier at her school, pupils had formed the shape of a five-pointed star and the national flag during a flag-raising ceremony.

“When combined with valuable materials such as the Nhan Dan supplement, I believe the children will cherish and take even more pride in the nation and its history,” said Huong.

Amid the vibrant crowds of flags and flowers on National Day, the special supplement of Nhan Dan truly became a bridge connecting the past with the present, igniting love for the homeland in every heart. From ordinary citizens and young students to teachers and scientists, all shared the same sense of emotion and pride when holding in their hands this sacred and deeply humanistic publication.

Each copy delivered into the hands of citizens was a reminder of the responsibility to preserve independence and freedom, and a testament to the unwavering faith in the bright future of the homeland.

On the occasion of Exhibition A80, Nhan Dan Newspaper released one million copies of the special supplement containing the full text of the Declaration of Independence as gifts to readers nationwide. This meaningful gesture allowed every Vietnamese citizen once again to feel and reflect on the sacred value of independence and freedom — achievements that countless generations sacrificed sweat and blood to attain.
