These gifts carry profound symbolic meaning, reflecting the care and attention of the Party, the state, and all levels of government towards the people on the nation’s Great Festival Day.
In recent days, the atmosphere of celebrating National Day in Ha Noi’s communes and wards has become more vibrant as local authorities distribute gifts to citizens. Each citizen receives a gift worth 100,000 VND under Resolution 263/2025/NQ-CP of the government.
From 7 a.m. on August 31, 2025, despite the rain, residents of Minh Chau Island Commune gathered at the commune’s People’s Committee headquarters to receive their gifts. The bright red of flags and flowers blended with the cheerful joy of the people.
Nguyen Thi Tam, a resident of Chu Chang Hamlet, Minh Chau Commune, said excitedly: “Everyone in the neighbourhood was eagerly asking and encouraging one another to go and receive the National Day gifts from the state. Even the children were remembered and given gifts.”
According to Bui Thai Son, Chairman of the Minh Chau Commune People’s Committee, the commune was allocated an additional 666,900,000 VND from the city budget to provide gifts to 6,669 permanent residents of the commune.
To ensure that every citizen received their gift, local cadres, hamlet leaders and mass organisations continued working throughout the holiday. The commune increased announcements on the radio system and local information channels about the programme and specific schedules for each area, so that residents were informed and did not have to wait.
Thanks to these efforts, Minh Chau Commune was able to complete the distribution of National Day gifts to all residents on August 31 itself.

The work was carried out swiftly and synchronously from 1 p.m. on August 31 and completed by September 2, with the dedication and responsibility of officials and relevant agencies. Ward leaders also directly inspected the gift distribution points.
For those temporarily residing elsewhere or living outside their registered permanent address, Long Bien Ward will distribute gifts from September 7 to 15, 2025, after confirming that the recipients had not collected gifts in their place of residence registration.
Having just collected gifts for four family members, Pham Van Duy of Bach Mai Ward expressed: “Everyone in my neighbourhood is happy, encouraging each other to go to the ward office to collect the money and celebrate National Day. The sum is not large, but it is a meaningful gesture, reflecting the care of the Party and state for every citizen. Receiving gifts at this time makes us even prouder and more grateful to the generations before us who fought for the country’s independence.”
According to the Bach Mai Ward People’s Committee, the ward has 130,062 citizens, with a total allocation of 13,006,200,000 VND for gifts. The ward People’s Committee, together with the police and residential groups, clearly notified all households to ensure that gifts reached every citizen fully and on time.
Meanwhile, to promptly distribute gifts to 63,434 residents, Vinh Hung Ward established 26 working groups and began distributing on the afternoon of August 31 at 26 locations across residential areas.
Duong Thi Quat, aged 91 (Residential Group 19), emotionally shared that her family was very happy to receive the state’s gifts. “This shows the Party and state’s comprehensive care for the people on the nation’s most important holiday.”
At various locations, youth union members guided residents in queuing and completing procedures, assisted in checking lists, filling out information forms, and maintaining order and security at distribution points.

Immediately after the Prime Minister issued Directive No. 149/CD-TTg on presenting gifts to citizens on the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, the Thanh Tri Commune People’s Committee mobilised the entire political system, with grassroots police, youth unions and local leaders playing the core role.
The Department of Culture and Social Affairs promptly coordinated with other forces to carry out the registration and verification of residents for gift distribution at venues including Hamlet 3 Cultural House in Yen My, Co Dien A Cultural House, Ngu Hiep Cultural Centre, Thanh Tri Commune People’s Committee Hall, and Hamlet 1 Cultural House in Vinh Quynh.
Tasks were implemented promptly and meticulously down to each household, ensuring accurate, timely, and fair distribution, avoiding mistakes or omissions. This effort was recognised and highly appreciated by the residents.

Nguyen Thi Hang of Co Dien A, Thanh Tri Commune shared that, although it was during a holiday, those distributing gifts worked responsibly and cheerfully. “Their enthusiastic attitude and readiness to support every citizen in successfully collecting their money made the gifts even more meaningful and solemn.”
