Major General Vu Van Dien, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, emphasised that in recent times, close coordination between the city’s armed forces and Cambodian military units has contributed to maintaining political security and stability, while further strengthening the traditional solidarity and close ties between the armed forces of the two countries.
As part of the working trip, the delegation also surveyed the site for the construction of the Cambodia–Viet Nam Friendship School in Dangkor Ward, Dangkor District, Phnom Penh.
This project carries profound political and social significance, reflecting the attention and responsibility of the Party organisation, authorities, and armed forces of Ho Chi Minh City in fostering Viet Nam–Cambodia friendship, contributing to human resource development, and promoting people-to-people exchanges.
Leaders of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces units expressed their appreciation for the sentiments and support from the Ho Chi Minh City Command, affirming their commitment to preserving and further developing the traditional friendship between Viet Nam and Cambodia in an increasingly sustainable manner.
