Ho Chi Minh City leaders pay tribute to heroic Vietnamese mothers and fallen soldiers

A delegation of Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, led by Politburo member and Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, paid tribute to heroic Vietnamese mothers and fallen soldiers at Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs’ Cemetery in Thu Duc City on April 29.

The delegation’s members observed a minute of silence to honour the immense contributions of the heroic Vietnamese mothers and fallen soldiers, who gave their blood and lives for the country’s freedom and the people's happiness.

Following the incense offering ceremony, the delegates visited individual graves to express their gratitude and remembrance.

The delegates then proceeded to the Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs’ Cemetery in Thu Duc City, where they offered flowers and incense in honour of generations of senior leaders and revolutionary veterans who had made significant contributions to the nation’s construction and defence.

Later this morning, another delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s leaders, headed by Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi, together with representatives from departments, agencies, districts, and people from all walks of life, visited offered incense and laid wreaths at the Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple in Cu Chi District, the Cu Chi District Martyrs’ Cemetery, and the memorial house dedicated to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Thi Ranh.
