Homeland Spring 2025 held in northeastern Thailand

On March 30, the Homeland Spring 2025 program themed "Overseas Vietnamese accompany the country in new era" was held by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen, in the northeastern region of Thailand, more than 400km from Bangkok, in order to honour the cultural values ​​and fine traditions of the nation, and express gratitude to overseas Vietnamese for their contributions to the homeland.

Speaking at the program, Consul General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh reported the proud results that Vietnam achieved in 2024. He reiterated the consistent policy of the Party and State of Vietnam that considers the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseparable part and an important resource of the Vietnamese nation.

The Consul General emphasised the wish that overseas Vietnamese continue to accompany and join hands with the people in domestic country to strive for an era of strong and prosperous national development.

Consul General Linh said that 2025 is a year with many important anniversaries of the country, such as the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. He expressed his hope that overseas Vietnamese will actively support and respond to the organisation of activities on these anniversaries.

At the program, Siriwat Pinijpanic, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Province, highly appreciated the role and contribution of overseas Vietnamese to the development of the locality; at the same time, they are the bridge to contribute to fostering the increasingly strong relationship between Thailand and Vietnam.

On behalf of the overseas Vietnamese, Nguyen Ngoc Thin, President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Thailand, congratulated Dinh Hoang Linh on becoming the new Consul General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen.

Thin called on the overseas Vietnamese to continue to unite and build the Vietnamese community in Thailand to develop more and more towards having a prosperous life, and to always look towards the homeland.

At the event, overseas Vietnamese enjoyed an Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) performance and art performances praising the homeland performed by artists from Vietnam.
