Coming from 54 teams from 10 provinces and cities across the country, the athletes competed in two events, with a 4,000m run for men or a 3,000m run for women, as well as a mountain climbing segment covering a distance of 2,300m, with slopes ranging from 40 to 65 degrees.
Held annually on the seventh day of Tet (Lunar New Year), this event has become a highly anticipated festival for the people of Ham Thuan Nam District as well as visitors and sports lovers.
In addition to fostering a festive atmosphere during the early days of spring, the competition aims to further develop physical training activities in the locality, provide an opportunity for teams and athletes to exchange experiences, enhance their skills, and promote Ham Thuan Nam as a safe, friendly, and attractive tourist destination.
