In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025), the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 – March 8, 2025), and other major national celebrations, the Vietnam Women's Union has launched the Ao Dai Week along with a nationwide folk-dance performance. This initiative aims to inspire a sense of responsibility in preserving and promoting Vietnam’s cultural heritage while creating a widespread positive impact within the community.

The Ao Dai was chosen by female staff as a substitute for their daily attire in response to "Vietnam Ao Dai Week" held from March 1 to 8, launched by the Vietnam Women's Union.
