Kon Tum Province celebrates 110th founding anniversary

The Central Highlands province of Kon Tum held a ceremony to mark its 110th founding anniversary on February 9.

The ceremony saw the presence of Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat.

In his remarks, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee Duong Van Trang said that, throughout history, people of the various ethnic groups in Kon Tum have always upheld patriotism and revolutionary tradition, shown steadfastness and dauntlessness in the fights against foreign invaders, and stayed industrious, dynamic, and creative in working, thus making substantialcontribution to the development and safeguarding of the province and the country as a whole.

Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo member and Permanent member of the PCC's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong noted that despite the numerous difficulties of a mountainous locality, Kon Tum continues to retain the revolutionary tradition and uphold solidarity.

He asked the province to strongly combine socio-economic development with consolidating defence - security, maintaining political stability and social order and safety; mobilise resources, and tap into potential and advantages so as to become increasingly developed in terms of economy, society, culture, defence, security, and external relations.
