Front leader extends Lunar New Year greetings in Kon Tum Province

President of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Do Van Chien visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the border guards and residents in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on January 14.

During his visit, the official presented 200 gifts to policy beneficiaries and poor households in Mo Rai Commune, as well as Tet gifts to local pupils and the Mo Rai Border Station.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Chien praised the outstanding results recorded by the Kon Tum government, people and armed forces, including the border guards.

He took the occasion to send his best wishes to Kon Tum Province, expecting it to successfully realise the targets to make the province wealthier and more beautiful.

Chien asked the Kon Tum authorities to take good care of residents’ lives, especially during the Lunar New Year in the spirit that no one is left behind.

He also requested the province’s border guards to effectively fulfil their duty of defending national sovereignty and ensuring border security.

On the same day, Head of the Central Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and presented gifts to poor households and workers in the southern province of Dong Thap.
