The biggest annual event of the dancing sector is jointly held by the Vietnam Dance Artists Association, the Kon Tum Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Kon Tum Literature and Arts Association.
The event is expected to spread the quintessential values of Vietnamese dancing arts to the domestic audience and international friends.
Following the success of the 2023 event, the Vietnam Dance Week 2024 is expected to open cooperation opportunities for dancing arts, help promote local culture tourism products and attract investment in the cultural industry.
The Vietnam Dance Week will feature three key activities, with the performance of “SESAN” — a contemporary dance that honour the rich culture of the Central Highlands at the Kon Klor Communal House on October 13.
The second key activity is a contest on Vietnamese national dances for professional choreographers with the goal of honouring, preserving and promoting traditional cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups.
The third key activity is a workshop gathering domestic and international experts to discuss the current state and development trends of contemporary dancing arts.
