Lang Son honours revolutionary contributors

The People’s Committee of Lang Son Province held a ceremony on July 27 to honour people with meritorious services to the revolution and nation on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the War Invalids and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947-2022).

As many as 75 revolutionary contributors, representing more than 33,000 revolutionary contributors throughout the province, were honoured at the event.

In addition, 39 collectives and individuals were presented with Certificates of Merit, by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, in recognition of their contributions to taking care of national contributors.

On this occasion, the local authorities also visited and presented gifts to families of 11 national contributors and sent gifts to 7,350 national contributors and families of fallen soldiers, with a total fund of over 8 billion VND sourced from the provincial budget.

Lang Son province has paid great care to both the material and spiritual life of wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers and people with meritorious services to the revolution. The province provided passbook savings accounts and built and repaired houses for national contributors, in addition to raising a fund to support them.

100% of policy beneficiary households and national contributors in Lang Son have the same or higher living standard, compared to the average living standard of residents in the locality.

The fund in support of national contributors has raised over 18 billion VND since 2012. More than 1,600 houses of national contributors were built and repaired, while 671 passbook savings accounts were presented to national contributors.
