On March 21, the Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha had a working session with the leaders of Long An province on the socio-economic development situation, disbursement of public investment capital, import and export and difficulties of the province.
Secretary of Long An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Quyet and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches received and worked with the delegation.

Reporting to Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the delegation, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Lam said that in 2024, Long An achieved and exceeded all 21 targets set out in the Resolution; GRDP economic growth rate reached 8.3%, ranking third in the Mekong Delta region; average income per capita reached 107.3 million VND/person/year, ranking first in the Mekong Delta region.
Regarding difficulties, Chairman of Long An Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut proposed that the Government consider and agree to adjust the area of Green Environment Technology Park from 1,760 hectares to 200 hectares to invest in building a waste treatment plant for Ho Chi Minh City and Long An using incineration technology to generate electricity.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Tran Hong Ha assessed the socio-economic development results of Long An achieved in 2024 and said that with potential advantages, development momentum, working methods of the leadership team and all levels, Long An will fully converge the potential for rapid and sustainable development.
To achieve the best results, Deputy PM Ha suggested that Long An should focus on accelerating socio-economic development; increasing investment attraction must have options to meet the requirements of technology and human resources towards green growth.
