General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission, and Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Viet Nam People’s Army, attended the ceremony and delivered a directive speech. President Luong Cuong sent flowers and extended his congratulations to the theatre.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasised that the revolutionary songs, dances, and performances of generations of artist-soldiers of the theatre have become a great spiritual source of encouragement, helping to strengthen the will to fight and reinforcing the belief in ultimate victory during the long, arduous but heroic years of resistance of the army and the people.
In the new revolutionary period, the Military Song and Dance Theatre must continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party’s guidelines and viewpoints on building and developing culture, strongly apply science and technology and digital transformation in artistic activities, and build a clean and exemplary Party organisation of the theatre. The theatre should gradually participate in the development of the national cultural industry; produce works and programmes of profound ideological value and high artistic quality, rich in humanistic spirit; vividly reflect the cause of national construction and defence, while deeply portraying the values and image of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” in the new period; spread military cultural standards, contribute to nurturing revolutionary ideals, and strengthen confidence and political steadfastness among cadres, soldiers, and the people.
Authorised by the State President, General Nguyen Trong Nghia presented the third-class Fatherland Protection Order to the Military Song and Dance Theatre.
