Addressing the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member and Minister of National Defence, affirmed that during revolutionary periods, military youths have always been absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, which is also the core and leading force of the youth movements nationwide. They are always ready to fight and sacrifice for the Fatherland and the people.
“Over the recent years, the military youth force has actively and creatively performed all tasks in many fields, contributing to enhancing the position and prestige of the army and the country in the international arena, protecting the country, and repelling natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic”, the General said.
On this occasion, the General praised the maturity, dedication and great contributions of the military youth force, as well as the Military Youth Board, during the past 70 years.
The President signed a decision, on awarding the Fatherland Defence Order to the Military Youth Board, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in directing the Youth Union activities and military youth movements, as well as contributions to the cause of building socialism and defending the nation, in the 2016-2021 period.
