More localities publicise election results

Nhan Dan - Provinces and cities throughout the country continue to announce the results of the elections for deputies to the 2011-2016 term of People's Councils at all levels on May 30.

In the northern province of Lang Son, 58 out of 90 candidates were elected to the People's Councils including 21 female deputies (36.31%), nine non-Party members (15.52%), 15 re-elected deputies (25.86%) and 33 members of ethnic minorities (56.9%).

* The Hung Yen provincial Election Committee announced that 97% of voters went to the polls and 53 deputies were elected to the provincial People's Council.

* Voters in Hai Phong city cast their ballots in 14 constituencies and elected 67 out of 95 candidates to the municipal People's Council. Nine female deputies (or 13.4%), one ethnic minority deputy (1.5%) and two non-Party members (3%) were elected. There is also one dignitary (1.5%) and 18 re-elected deputies (26.9%).

* Statistics from the Election Committee of Ca Mau province show a 99.36% voter turnout and 54 of 82 candidates being elected to the provincial People's Council.

* On the same day, Thua Thien - Hue province also declared their elections results with a 99.98% voter turnout. Voters cast their ballots in 14 constituencies and elected 52 out of 84 candidates to the People's Council.

* Nam Dinh province recorded 98.77% of voters going to the polls to elect 67 deputies to the provincial People's Council and 40 deputies to the municipal People's Council.
