On August 1, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, held a press conference in Hanoi to launch the press award.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said this is the seventh year the National Press Award on Education has been held, thereby emphasising the value and the importance of the education sector for the cause of national construction and defence, while promoting the attention of society to the cause of education in Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Son expressed his hope, that in addition to the reflection of hot issues and typical models, the entries are expected to address systemic issues with long-term impacts, such as the policies of the Party, State, and the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as press works with visions and forecasts for the education sector to perfect its policies.

The awards call for press entries in printed, electronic, radio and television categories published between September 5, 2023 – 2024.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 16, 2024.
