The awards were co-organised by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association.
It aims to honour outstanding journalism works about the education sector, as well as those who have made significant contributions to the sector’s development.
This year’s event, the sixth of its kind, attracted nearly 800 entries in various genres of printed and online newspapers, radio and television.
According to the jury, the entries provided coverage of the pressing issues of the education sector and reflected the thoughts and aspirations of management staff, teachers, parents and learners.
Many contestants suggested sound measures to help the sector overcome difficulties and honour exemplary teachers who have worked to promote principal educational values.
At the ceremony, the organising board presented one special, four first, eight second, 12 third, and 28 consolation prizes to the best entries.
