The strategy aims to modernise Vietnam's education system, enhance the nation’s good traditions, foster the comprehensive development of Vietnamese people, and meet the requirements of socio-economic development in the new era as well as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the latest advancements in science and technology.
Under the document, the education sector will focus on nurturing morality and personality, maximising each individual's potential and creative abilities, thus creating the foundation for achieving the goal of building a prosperous, democratic, fair, and civilised nation with happiness and prosperity.
The sector strives to meet advanced standards of Asia in five years and international standards in the next 10 years.
The strategy outlines ten major tasks and solutions to realise these goals, such as perfecting the legal framework; innovating education management and school governance; ensuring equity in education access; expanding the network of educational institutions; and revamping teaching methods.
The tasks also include enhancing the teaching workforce; securing financial and material resources; promoting technology application and digital transformation; encouraging scientific research and innovation; and strengthening international integration
