In the decisive round, THE LAURUS 8310 faced team BITEDUYTROJ from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. The competitors were tasked with resolving a hypothetical case involving a dispute over a capital contribution contract – a matter frequently encountered in business practice, yet one that remains open to differing interpretations and approaches.
As a result, THE LAURUS 8310 triumphed with the first prize worth 100 million VND, while BITEDUYTROJ claimed the second prize of 70 million VND.
The organisers also recognised 12 teams that progressed to the quarter-finals, alongside special awards for the best written submission, the most outstanding individual competitor, and the most popular team.
Spanning three months, the competition drew participation from more than 80 teams representing over 40 higher education institutions offering law programmes across the country.
Associate Professor Dr Tran Viet Dung, Vice-Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, remarked that VMoot is not merely a platform for students to challenge themselves in a simulated courtroom environment, but also a valuable opportunity to refine essential professional skills such as legal research, critical thinking, advocacy, and teamwork.
